In order to reduce Administrative ACH Returns, which cost your business time and money, PDC has implemented a new feature that allows you to add a bank account verification feature on ACH processing both for your inhouse or collector/cashier payments and/or for your online ACH payments.
Administrative ACH Returns are those that come back with these ACH Return Codes:
R02 Account Closed
R03 No Account/Unable to Locate Account
R04 Invalid Account Number
NACHA Regulations now require that these return rates remain below 3% in order to continue processing ACH transactions. For additional information on the Updated NACHA Return Rules, please see this article at the PDCFlow Help Center: NACHA Excessive Return Rate Information
If the bank account information does not match when the transaction is submitted for processing, the form will display the error below.
We have now added the option to turn this feature on by an Administrative User via your PDC Portal.
To enable the Dual Bank Account Number for Inhouse ACH transactions or Online ACH transactions, please follow the steps below:
To turn on the feature for Inhouse eCheck entries:
- From your Main Menu - Administrative Tools, go to Inhouse Administration and select 1-Time Payment Configuration.
- Under Dual bank account number, toggle the dropdown to ON and click Save.
To turn on the feature for your Online Payment Portal:
- From your Main Menu - Administrative Tools, go to Online Payment Center Administration and select 1-Time Payment Configuration.
- Under Dual bank account number, toggle the dropdown to ON and click Save.
