Users with administrative-level access can create and manage your PDCflow account's users. Users can be assigning them various levels of permission, setting their activity status, and other details. You can also reset user passwords and unlock accounts.
How To Add a New User
In the primary navigation, click on Account > Users. On the User Management page, click the + New User button. Enter a username; a valid email address must be used for a username.
On the Edit User Account page, complete all required fields for the user as well as desired optional fields.
Note that the default security groups (permission groups) for a new PDCflow account are Administrator, Regular, and Cashier.
- The Administrator security group is initially assigned to all roles and users assigned will have access to add and edit security groups and users and will have full access to the account's functionality.
- Regular users initially have access to the Dashboard for creating payments and Flows as well as access to Reporting.
- Cashier users are initially limited to only having access to the Dashboard for creating Flows or payments.
Once a new user is saved, an email will be sent to that user's email address with the URL to your PDCflow account, their username, and a temporary password. When a new user logs into their account they'll be prompted to update their password and create security questions.
How Can I View and Edit Users?
In the primary navigation select Account > Users and click on the Edit button (a pencil icon). On the Edit User Account page, you are able to view and modify the user account: username, first and last names, timezone, default company, department, security group, and activation can all be updated.
Resetting a User's Password
On the Edit User Account page, click the Reset Password link. Confirm the password reset on the confirmation page. After you click the confirmation button, an email will be sent to the user's email address with a temporary password. If the user's account is locked (due to too many failed login attempts) then the account will also be unlocked.
A user's activity can also be viewed in the Recent Sign In History table.
