Credit Card Processing Errors

Common decline reasons and how to resolve them when processing payments in PDCflow.

Error Code Guide

Invalid Service Code 62
The card has restrictions on your Merchant Category Code (MCC). Ask the customer to use a different card.

Code 19
The card type doesn't match the service (ex: HSA card for non-medical purchase). Customer needs a different card type.

Code 57 - Merchant Does Not Support This Card Type
Your merchant account doesn't accept this card (ex: Visa gift cards). Try a standard credit/debit card.

Do Not Honor
The issuing bank declined the transaction. Customer must contact their bank for the specific reason.

Voice Authentication Error
Your Merchant Service Provider (MSP) needs more info.

  • Newtek: Call 800-228-1122

  • Other MSP: Use number on your statement
    Have ready: Merchant ID (bottom of MSP statement) + payment details. Call us with post-auth # to complete.

Payment Card Encryption/Decryption Failure
Rare technical issue with our encryption service (only during system updates). Contact support.

Card Expired
Expiration date has passed or was entered incorrectly. Verify date or use different card.
